5 Ways To Incorporate More Wholefoods In Your Day

Remember what your Mum told you? Eat your greens, don’t go under a ladder or  you better wear a singlet all the time because you might catch a cold?

Well looking back at some I have to give it to your Mum because it wasn’t all mad and mental information.

Eat Your Greens

When she told you to eat your greens, the woman had the right idea. Leafy greens like spinach, parsley and kale all help to detox the body and blood.  How do I incorporate more greens into my diet?

  1. Just grab a bunch and eat it

The best way to eat leafy greens is raw because not only is it easy but you get that good roughage you need. Just think of it as a cleaning antidote for your gut!

  1. Put it in a blended shake

Blended does not mean juicing it means put the leaves (minus the stalks) in the blender with a cucumber some himalayan rock salt and lemon with water.

  1. Eat it Raw

When I was a kid I was taught to just snack on cucumbers when I was a bit peckish, you can do that with carrots or celery

  1. Build a community

Sounds tough and full on but it’s all about telling your friends about it and educating them.

  1. Make an effort to grow your food

Mint and parsley are the easiest to grow and gardening is one of the most therapeutic things to do. It’s not just there for your Nana, think of it as a really cheap alternative to counselling.
